The Click Clack luxury hotel or the importance of interculturality

You're still wondering what's the point of training your employees in intercultural awareness and diversity?
I've just arrived in Bogotá (#happydance) and I had a good laugh walking down the street...
What you see in this photo is the entrance to a chic hotel. Imagine if this hotel chain exported to France without checking out the local culture. Ah, the luxury of sleeping in a Click Clack hotel! 🤣
Anyway, I won't elaborate, but it reminded me of my international marketing classes at ICADE in Madrid, where we talked about Mitsubishi having to change the name of the Pajero in Spain and Latin America (I'll let you look up the Spanish translation on our friend Google...), or the Mazda Laputa or even the Toyota MR2 having to withdraw the 2 in France (I'll let you do the test by pronouncing it out loud!).
In short, it's better to know a bit about local cultures before diving headlong into great international projects!
