Episode 20 | The time I discovered surprising similarities

🇰🇭 In this captivating episode set in Cambodia, I take you on an unexpected adventure where a simple street game took me on a journey to Africa ! 🎲✈️

In 2012, during my world tour with the NGO Konstelacio, I worked with students from the French NGO "Pour un Sourire d'Enfant" in Phnom Penh. Through workshops aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue, together we discovered a traditional Cambodian game, Bay Khom, which immediately reminded me of a similar game discovered in Senegal, awalé. 🌍🎭

This game, which is played in pairs, reveals surprising similarities with the Ethiopian and Eritrean sowing games known as mancalas, testifying to deep cultural similarities between distant regions of the planet. 🌐🤝

Through this experience, I realized just how manyfascinating commonalities exist between the world's cultures, despite their apparent differences. This led me to rethink Konstelacio's mission, which now aims to highlight cultural differences as much as similarities. 💡🌱
