Episode 12 | The time I celebrated my birthday Mexican-style
Cross-cultural surprises

🇲🇽 In this episode set in Mexico, I tell you about the time I stayed with a family in Cabo San Lucas for an extended stay, and was given a birthday party in the local style.
Grandma spent two days in the kitchen preparing a traditional mole for me, a typical dish made with chicken, spices and chocolate (!). And above all, I was treated to the traditional piñata. Are you familiar with it? I'll tell you why, beyond the fact that it's full of sweets (I'm an unconditional fan of sweets!), this tradition has a very special place in my heart. Spoiler alert, we're going to talk about how sometimes the most typical cultural practices are actually the result of cultural exchanges!
And let me warn you, I'm ending this episode by giving you some homework to do at home or on your travels. I'm counting on you to share your discoveries with us!
Whether you're an expat, a traveller or just curious about cultures and diversity, this podcast is for you!
Enjoy!
