Cambodia - The time I felt like saying "You want my photo"?
Cross-cultural surprises

🇰🇭 Today, I'm taking you to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to talk about a subject I wasn't expecting at all: the gaze.
An anecdote I experienced on a motodop in the middle of traffic led me to wonder about the cultural differences linked to the gaze and the perception of intimacy in the public space. In France, staring at someone is often frowned upon, seen as an affront or an intrusion. But is this the case everywhere?
Through this story, I invite you to observe and question your own culture: what you consider "normal", "polite" or "uncomfortable", is not necessarily so elsewhere. We'll also talk a little about Japan, karate and that famous time I drove a tuktuk in Phnom Penh, a moment I'll never forget!
👀 How about you, have you ever been thrown off balance by a simple glance while traveling? Tell me in comments on Spotify or on the networks!
I'll tell you all about it in the episode:
