About

Trip down memory lane...

Charlotte Courtois is the founder of an NGO, lecturer and cultural diversity expert.

She is one of UNESCO's 50 Young Leaders for Peace.

After living in Australia as a teenager, she decided to pursue a career focused on intercultural relations.
At the age of 16, Charlotte began studying international business at Neoma Business School, located between Reims and Madrid.
She wrote her thesis on "The use of storytelling as a method of raising awareness of cultural diversity management in business."

At 20 years old, she served as the marketing manager for a pastry/chocolate shop in Madrid, taking the time to choose further studies that would allow her to deepen her understanding of cultural diversity. She then pursued a master's degree in sociology and anthropology, specializing in migrations and interethnic relationships, at URMIS, a research laboratory at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis.

Her second thesis focused on "Cultural and ethnic diversity in the workplace, from commitment to proactivity," carried out in collaboration with renowned companies such as Disneyland Paris and the Accor Group.

Charlotte then organizes on behalf of the French Association of Diversity Managers, workshops and working committees on the topic of diversity management in the workplace.

In 2011, driven by the belief that there is a crucial need to educate young people about cultural diversity, Charlotte decides to create Konstelacio, an NGO accredited by UNESCO that promotes dialogue between cultures.

At the age of 24, she becomes a social entrepreneur and embarks on a solo 15-month round-the-world trip, meeting over 200 children in 7 countries to help them write stories about their culture and traditions.

Today

Since then, Charlotte has surrounded herself with a 5-person Board of Directors, a hundred or so members, some twenty (very!) active volunteers, an educational committee and a talented godmother, the actress Bérénice Bejo. It runs projects in some fifteen countries with multicultural teams and experts from all fields (artists, food historians, chefs, international institutions, etc.).

Since the creation of Konstelacio, Charlotte has led workshops for 5,000 children in 15 different countries, sharing the beauty of cultural diversity and participating in her own way in the promotion of respect, tolerance and peace.

At the same time, Charlotte shares what she learns in the field and through her research by giving interactive and dynamic lectures to professionals and the general public. The goal? To develop intercultural skills in order to improve both performance and team cohesion.

In September 2023, she will also launch her own podcast, "Intercultural Surprises," using her travel anecdotes to explore cultural differences and similarities.

Today

Since then, Charlotte has built a strong network: a board of directors composed of 7 individuals, close to one hundred members, around 20 (very!) active volunteers, an educational committee, and a talented ambassador, award-winning actress Bérénice Bejo (The Artist, A Knight’s Tale…). She now leads projects all around the world with multicultural teams and experts from various fields (artists, food historians, chefs, international institutions...).

Since the creation of Konstelacio, Charlotte has conducted workshops with over 5000 children in 14 different countries, aiming to share the beauty of cultural diversity and contribute in her own way to spreading respect, tolerance, and peace.

At the same time, Charlotte shares what she learns in the field and through her research by giving interactive and dynamic lectures to professionals and the general public. The goal? To develop intercultural skills in order to improve both performance and team cohesion.
